Revised Journal:
Sunday night I went to the movies with my best friend, Krissy Teig. We always have to have popcorn when we watch movies, which is quite often. When we go to the movie theaters we order the number two: two medium drinks and medium popcorn. The cost is eleven dollars, so we split the amount right down the middle. While watching Marley and Me I laughed a lot. The movie was a comedy, at first. The couple in the movie was not quite sure if they were ready to have children so they thought buying a dog would better prepare them. Un-aware of discipline dogs need, Marley makes his own rules. Marley stresses the couple out, especially when they begin to have children, but still love him the same. Sadly, in the end, Marley dies of old age. I became sad and even cried. I have had my cat Fluffy since I was 4 years old and she is still alive. I am an only child; therefore my cat keeps me entertained when I am bored. Watching Marley and Me made me think of how sad I would be when I lose Fluffy.

What I Want Is by Mackenzie Templeman

What I want is
to be healed

To do what I want
What I want is

A new car
And inside that car

A stereo
In the stereo, an awesome

CD
And a device for watching music videos

Resting on the hood
Of the car

A boy
And a girl

Laying beneath
The stars, we count

My big dipper
His Orion Belt

And listen to the wind
Howling at us

We kiss
